37th ALL BRITISH DAY - Sunday February 14th 2021

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be ABD in 2021

We are currently planning on 'business as usual' and we are looking forward to All British Day on 14th February 2021. No doubt as the year unfolds, what can or cannot happen in February 2021 will become clearer and more certain. No-one can predict the effects that Covid 19 will have on the running of an event next year, but as ABD is such a large event to organise, your committee is putting everything in place to make sure we have ABD ready to go in 2021. There may be restrictions or regulations in place and we will endeavor to work within any legal guidelines that may be applied to such a large gathering to keep everyone who attends ABD safe.

However should the restrictions be severe and make ABD unviable to run we will be forced to cancel the event. If this happens we roll over any registrations for 2020 to the 2021 event without incurring further costs.

Where is, ABD held?

At the Echunga Recreation Grounds, this is a multipurpose sports area including tennis courts, netball courts and two ovals end to end for Football or Cricket.  These playing areas are surrounded with various types and quantities of Australian trees and scrub.  “All British Day Australiana”? to get to Echunga it is approximately 30 min up the South-Eastern Freeway from the Tollgate

Can I bring my dog?

nodogs.pngGuide dogs most certainly yes, family pet’s sorry no, as the grounds are council owned and have a no dog policy.

Where do I park?

We have ample public car parking. Enter into Anderson Road of the Echunga Road you will find the CFS marshalled paddock across the road from the ovals, we have a traffic controlled pedestrian crossing operating on the day.

Are there facilities for the disabled?

Yes, within the grounds there is limited parking for permit holders and toilets for disabled persons.

Will there be catering?

Yes, the local sporting and service Clubs do the catering for the event.

There is a licensed club lounge area in the Club Rooms where there is seating and tables with a bar for those who might like a small drink with their lunch. Or you can BYO lunch and sit under one of our five 6 metre x 12 metre marquees on the ovals. There is limited seating available on the ovals, but we recommend that you bring a chair or two if you wish to take a break from walking around the vast display.

Will there be a market or similar activity?

There are some general interest and of course automotive traders present on the day.

Children's Entertainment

For our younger attendees, Old MacDonald’s Farm, Face painting, Punch and Judy, and Rev'it'up racing simulator. We also have the age of steam well represented.

I am a member of a Club, and I would like to enter my British Vehicle, how do I do this?

You can print and post a form from this website, or, use our online form when entries open, click here.

If I pay online, does All British Day hold any of my credit card details?

No, We are processing credit card details through PayPal, a secure card processing facility, and All British Day will not pass on the PayPal fees.

Is there a hot weather policy?

Yes, In the event of a catastrophic fire warning for the Echunga district or a forecast temperature for Mt. Barker as at 6.00pm the before the event of 40 degrees or more the event will be cancelled. We know you will understand this ruling. Sorry, no entry fees will be refunded. Your memorabilia will be posted to you.

It may be an idea to bring cash on the day as most of the food /drink stalls are community based and do not offer electronic payment. An ATM will be located near gate B to assist with cash payments for admission.

I am an entrant, why cannot I leave before 3pm?

We try to keep costs down as much as we can, Insurance is a part of the pricing we simply could not safely control 700 vehicles leaving on an ad hoc basis. Hence every one leaves when we can safely manage the flow from the grounds in an orderly fashion we do not want any one hurt nor do we want any accidents. Please bear in mind the public are still looking at cars up to 3.00pm. Sorry we have to strictly adhere to this departure time to ensure that all parties involved in the departure process are ready.
